Because the complements that the brides usually carry, are fruit of centuries of traditions. And, many of them, have an important role during the ceremony.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The complements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tradition marks that all brides have to wear a new thing, an old thing, a borrowed thing and something blue. But there is an explanation behind this entrenched tradition. The \u201cnew thing\u201d as a symbol of the new life that begins. The \u201cold thing\u201d is the element that means everything the bride leaves behind. In general, it\u2019s usually a family gem. The fact of carrying out a \u201dborrowed thing\u201d is done as a symbol of friendship. Finally, carrying out a \u201cblue thing\u201d symbolizes faithfulness. And, in this case, it is traditionally a garter because it\u2019s an element that is not visible.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/masterrats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/F1000026-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4309\" srcset=\"https:\/\/masterrats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/F1000026-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/masterrats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/F1000026-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/masterrats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/F1000026-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The bride&#8217;s garter<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the fifteenth century in France, the guests ran after the bride to get the garter. With the passage of time this tradition has been preserved, but it\u2019s the groom or friends who are responsible for removing the garter from the bride\u2019s leg. Then, the tradition marks that this object is given to the person they have previously chosen. But in recent years it\u2019s decided to auction the garter to who else offers money for it.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In the fifteenth century in France, the guests ran after the bride to get the garter. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The veil<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although currently considered a complement to the wedding dress, during the Roman Empire the brides covered their faces with the veil as a symbol of the girl\u2019s purity.
